He specializes in civil and  administrative procedures, predominantly with the participation of business entities. In addition, he conducts due diligence reviews of companies, and takes part in M&A transactions.

He has advised major companies from the capital and insurance markets, among other things, on procedures pending in front of the Financial Supervision Authority and the General Inspector of Financial Information, common courts of law of all instances, as well as the Supreme Administrative Court and Supreme Court.

Before joining DeBenedetti Majewski Szcześniak in 2014, he worked as an inhouse lawyer at the Office of Analysis in the Chancellery of the Sejm, the Office of the Ombudsman and cooperated with other law firms.

Mateusz combines his legal practice with scientific and academic work. Having completed his studies, he worked as an assistant in the Department of the Theory and Philosophy of Law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of the Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw and worked on his PHD thesis at the Institute of Legal Sciences of the Polish Academy of Science, where he conducted research in the field of theory and philosophy of law, in particular in connection with the interpretation of law and legal argumentation.

Mateusz has participated in and organized numerous Polish scientific conferences, and is an author of scientific and press publications concerning the philosophy of law as well as several photography exhibitions.

He passed his bar exam in 2021 and has been entered on the list of advocates maintained by the Regional Bar Association in Warsaw.

A graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration at the Cardinal Stefan Wyszynski University in Warsaw, and also studied philosophy at Warsaw University, and photography at the Centre of Photography of the Association of Polish Art Photographers.
